Lesson Objectives:

• Review Avoiding Plagiarism: Rules with paraphrasing and quoting
• Introduce and analyze components of results-driven and descriptive abstract
• Sign up for individuals conferences

Part I:  Quick Review Quiz-What is Plagiarism? (10 min)

Part II: Lecture on Abstracts  (25 min)
Abstracts are an important part to research writing. Arguably, they are more important to the reader than for the writer as they are used a means to determine in a source is relevant to our needs.        1) The Results-Driven Abstract

2) The Summary Abstract
