Day 24: Annotated Bibliography Workshop

lesson objectives:

• Review major components of an annotated bibliography
• Go over requirements for annotated bibliography assignment
• Practice writing an annotated bibliography based on sources for paper topic

Part I: Go over assignment directions and deadlines 5-10 min

Directions to the assignment can be found under Unit 3. Please note that you will need to upload your sources into your dropbox in addition to the annotations. No copying and pasting or "very weak" paraphrasing from abstracts or elsewhere is permitted. That is plagiarism and you will receive a zero for this assignment. 

Part II: Review major components of an Annotated Bibliography 5-10 min

Review annotated bibliographies to ensure students understand structure and purpose.

Part III: Workshop on Annotations 30 min

Pull up your research article and begin to build an annotated bibliography. I will be circulating to provide assistance. 

Homework: Annotations are due 3/25 before midnight.
