Today's Objectives:

• Understand how to better recognize their audience and adjust writing accordingly
• Practice manipulation/rewriting sentences/paragraphs to achieve better audience awareness
• Analyze their own Diagnostic Essay in terms of their audience awareness
• Discuss audience in terms of email writing (time permitting)

Part II: (20 min)  Workshop: Audience Writing Activity [10:25-10:45]

Click on the link under Unit 1 titled, Audience or Purpose. We will read the direction together in class and you will have time to start on the assignment. It will be due on Monday along with your first reflection.


Part III: (5 min) Homework Clarification
Please direct your attention to the upcoming two assignments listed under Unit 1: Reflection #1 and Audience or Purpose. Please read the instruction to complete the assignment. Both assignments are due on Monday (1/28) before the start of class. Late assignments are not accepted. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns. Have a nice weekend.
